Our mission
EpilepsyWise is an evidence-led educational resource for patients, families and health professionals. It brings together seizure recognition, epilepsy classification, first aid, daily-life guidance and treatment principles, while retaining a strong focus on rational antiseizure medicine selection.
Our central philosophy is that treatment should help a person gain more life than it takes away. Seizure control matters, but so do cognition, mood, energy, independence, work, study, relationships, pregnancy planning, driving and the patient's own experience of treatment.
LevWise remains a flagship feature
LevWise is the site's original deep-dive into levetiracetam and reflex prescribing. It remains intact because it demonstrates a broader lesson that applies to every antiseizure medicine: an effective drug can still be the wrong drug for a particular patient, and prescribing habit should never replace deliberate choice.
