Editorial Policy & Evidence Process
LevWise exists to make evidence easier to inspect, discuss, and use responsibly — not to replace an individual clinical assessment.
Source-first evidence
Clinical claims should be traced to primary research, recognised guidance, public regulators, or established patient organisations. Links are provided so visitors can inspect the source themselves.
Plain language without false certainty
LevWise explains evidence in accessible terms while acknowledging limits, variation between people, and the need for individual clinical assessment.
Independent editorial judgement
Funders, potential partners, and contributors do not control conclusions about medicines, safety, guidelines, or source selection.
Visible review and correction
Material updates are logged publicly. If an error is identified, LevWise aims to correct it clearly and link the correction from the affected content when appropriate.
How a clinical page is developed
- 1. Identify the question. The page defines the decision, concern, or terminology it is trying to explain.
- 2. Prioritise inspectable sources. Landmark trials, guidelines, safety communications, and peer-reviewed literature are preferred.
- 3. Explain relevance and limits. Findings are translated into clear language without presenting population evidence as a personal prediction.
- 4. Link the source. Visitors can open the relevant paper, guideline, or regulator page from the resource directory or reference card.
- 5. Record material changes. Significant updates are described in the public updates log.
Funding and conflicts
LevWise does not accept payment to promote a medicine or change an editorial conclusion. Current and future support principles are published on the Support page.
