Trust & accountability

Governance & Advisory Panel

LevWise is building a small, transparent advisory structure so evidence, visitor experience, and independence can be reviewed with appropriate external challenge.

Current status

Advisory panel in formation

No individual advisers are presented as appointed at this stage. Names, roles, relevant interests, and appointment dates will only be published with permission after the panel is formally constituted.

What the panel will review

Clinical evidence reviewer

Helps assess whether major clinical pages represent key trial, guideline, and safety information fairly and with appropriate limits.

Patient & family voice

Tests whether information is understandable, respectful, and useful to people affected by epilepsy and their carers.

Methods & ethics adviser

Supports transparent handling of sources, uncertainty, conflicts, privacy, and public-interest questions.

Appointment and independence criteria

Relevant experience: demonstrated clinical, research, ethics, patient advocacy, or lived-experience knowledge.

Transparent interests: current relevant funding, affiliations, and potential conflicts are disclosed before appointment.

No editorial veto: advisers provide challenge and perspective; they do not receive a commercial or funder-driven right to control conclusions.

Fixed, reviewable terms: roles, scope, and membership are reviewed periodically and updated in the public register.

Suggest an adviser or raise a governance question

LevWise welcomes suggestions from patient organisations, clinicians, researchers, and community groups. Please include a short rationale and any relevant declared interests.
